New user planning to run a Drupal server under Windows Subsystem for Linux, with Ubuntu distro. WSL and NGINX installed properly, with localhost as URL rendering 'welcome to nginx' as it should. Have installed Drupal recipe per instructions but can't seem to get it to properly access drupal content stored under /var/www. Have ensured permissions properly configured. Expecting to enter 'server name' from nginx config file as URL in browser, but entering that displays 'Hmm... can't reach this page'. Have read all the help documentation under nginx.org site, including troubleshooting, would like to avoid having to rebuild debug enabled version. Have also asked for help under wsl reddit.
Can someone please help suggesting additional troubleshooting steps? Nothing in access.log or error.log that is relevant to situation. Suspect WSL may inject something into header that breaks match algorithm, but don't know how to test that hypothesis.
Thanks for your help in advance.
