Nginx subdirectory for owncloud (can it be done?)
June 27, 2015 07:10PM
Hi, I'm a student trying to figure out how to make and use servers, and I think
nginx looks pretty cool. I figured I'd try to put my owncloud on nginx instead
of apache this time.

I've been trying to put owncloud int `localhost/owncloud`, but I get 404 when
I try to navigate to http://localhost/owncloud/index.php/apps/files/

Is this a problem because I'm trying to put owncloud in a subdirectory? If not,
what do you think it could be?

Thanks,
Kenkron

Hi Kenkron,

I tried it on a RPi with the instructions from http://www.aelog.org/install-owncloud-in-a-subdirectory-using-nginx/ and it works for me. Just change the root directory and collect the rewrite rules into a location block with /owncloud prefix.
