I have a WP based video site that embed video using JWPlayer plugin. To host the videos, I installed LAMP on my dedicated box and upload videos on to the /var/www/html/ folder. I was told that the method I'm using was bad and that I should use nginx as both the web server to store the videos and as a reverse proxy. Having never heard of nginx and is fairly new to linux, I decided to give it a try. I rented 2 test vps servers and set up nginx on both. This is where I'm stuck. I followed serveral different tutorials configuring nginx but were unsuccessful so far. Therefore i was wondering if someone would be kind to show me a small tutorial on how to configure the proxy server and how to get the real sever to listen to the proxy server's requests.
