How to Spdy with Nginx Proxy
July 09, 2012 09:33PM
Hi all,

Greetings, I am newbee as I am trying to figure how Spdy would work with Nginx.

Here is what I am trying to do.

I was wanting to terminate all my users traffic to my squid box via ssl, then I came across spdy and it's speed bumbs etc.

I understand nginx with working with spdy. So I want to get rid of Squid and use Nginx as a proxy, but I would like my users to use spdy and I want to distribute a pac file to all my users.

So I am confused as to how this would work.

If I configure Nginx as a proxy and make it listen to port 3128, then how does my browser figure out to make a spdy connection rather than a direct connection to my nginx proxy.

Or direct my users to spdy port and tell nginx to redirect them to the proxy port. I am totally confused.

Would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks all for reading my post.

Best
