GZiping Logs?
June 15, 2011 02:42PM
I have Nginx 0.8.53 installed on my CentOS server (looks like they finally have an update to 0.8.54 on the repos though), and I tried to set up a stats program, however Nginx keeps GZipping all of my old access logs. The stats program I am using does not read GZIP compressed files, and I can't find any settings that would prevent Nginx from applying compression to old logs. Googling is not getting me anywhere, nor is the Nginx Wiki. Is anyone aware of a way to prevent Nginx from doing this?

nginx doesn't do that, it is logrotate.

Thank you! I had no clue that that thing was running on my server.
