One of my weak points is conversion of apache mod_rewrite syntax to nginx eqivalents and so maybe next site article or forum thread is to list examples of commonly asked conversions i.e. for vBSEO, wordpress, drupal, etc ? thanks Georgeby George - Site Suggestions

I've been looking over lots of nginx configurations and the way to serve static files differed slightly, so which is the correct way as i've seen the following syntax location ~* \.(jpg|jpeg|gif|css|png|js|ico)$ { vs location ~* ^.+.(jpg|jpeg|gif|css|png|js|ico)$ { what's the difference between the 2 ? thanks Georgeby George - Nginx Mailing List - English

Hi guys, I've been running very old 0.7.19 nginx with virtual host configuration for ages now with nginx.conf listed below. But it's time to upgrade to 0.8.20 so what's the best way to do this AND be able to backup 0.7.19 nginx (which specific files) so I could ASAP switch back to 0.7.19 to get things running if I mess up 0.8.20 install ? Also not sure if my settings in conf files below are cby George - Nginx Mailing List - English
Not sure if one exists, but for folks new to nginx it can be daunting with all the configuration settings. How about an online config generator form, so folks can checkbox/drop down menu select what options they want to customise and then hit the generate button on the form and outputs a txt file with the properly formatted syntax etc for nginx.conf and virtual host files ? thanks for heariby George - Ideas and Feature Requests
