Whatever your system can handle, but anywhere between 4 and 20 should be ok, using more would only be useful when you make more pools and geoip split them up. ea. divide the world into 20 portions and have a pool of 8 for each.by itpp2012 - Nginx Mailing List - English
Find user management in your computer properties and change the passwords for the user(s) that have been created, then look into the .cmd files where /savecred is used, run the stop cmd file and enter the password(s) which you have changed, things should be running back to normal. To remove just remove the folders and remove the users and you can start again.by itpp2012 - How to...
I have no idea how it works in detail but I can assume when a server gets a request the server will respond with an answer :) in other words the client has to tell the server how much it wants and the server has to be able to send partial content when configured to do so as by rtmp design (well not actually by design but by rtmp upstream who feeds nginx/rtmp) its a chain and everyone needs to playby itpp2012 - Nginx Mailing List - English
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Jenkins+behind+an+NGinX+reverse+proxy Other then that it might be a tomcat issue as tomcat also expects certain values for different external situations, have a look if the connectors need different settings. http://serverfault.com/questions/514551/make-tomcat-use-x-real-ipby itpp2012 - Other discussion
Sounds like a client issue which isn't dealing with partial downloads, had the same thing with an old vlc and twd/s5, used the latest vlc and it started playing after 2 seconds (2.8gb). If a client tells nginx to get it all it will send it all.by itpp2012 - Nginx Mailing List - English

Can I use multiple maps with a single map ? For example; map $ngxvar1 $myvar1 { default 0; ~*string 1; } map $ngxvar2 $myvar2 { default 0; ~*string 1; } map $ngxvar3 $myvar3 { default 0; ~*string 1; $myvar1 1; $myvar2 1; } This way I would only have one IF $myvar3 ....., but obviously this example doesn't work, is this possible ?by itpp2012 - Nginx Mailing List - English
ntlm requires a permanent connection and association with a client, this is not something supported by nginx, you can try my version which has ldap support or use the Lua geoip example in ngxLuaDB to authenticate to a database.by itpp2012 - Ideas and Feature Requests
You could try these settings to the proxy: keepalive_requests 500; proxy_http_version 1.1; if that doesn't work your going to need a wireshark dump to see the difference, it sounds like some header is not getting passed.by itpp2012 - How to...
The problem is the backend here, nginx does not do a retry on its own as that would be blocking a worker, you might be able to do a retry via cosockets (Lua) as thats not blocking. Or create more backends and load balance them. In short the backend can't handle what nginx is passing on.by itpp2012 - How to...

With a backend (like php) you are always bound to what the backend can handle, nginx is just a portal here. The amount of backends should be balanced with the best balance setting like leastconn/iphash, ea: http://nginx.org/en/docs/http/load_balancing.html and also consider Lua for managing/offloading backends. So its not really a number game but a distribution one.by itpp2012 - Nginx Mailing List - English
