Could someone look over my configuration? It appears I am missing something that is causing it not to work. I have a Code Igniter application that runs from the root WordPress folder fine with Apache, but it is not working with my Nginx configuration. The WordPress root folder is: /var/www/vhosts/wordpress The Code Igniter root folder is: /var/www/vhosts/wordpress/code_igniter My config iby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
The reply I received from NetDNA after supplying the same information as I did here is as follows: "Too many redirects" is a legit message in this scenario - example: You are redirecting domain.com/file.jpg TO cdn.domain.com/file.jpg ---> request comes to CDN and CDN neds to cache this file from origin so it tries to fetch from origin from location "domain.com/file.jpg" -by toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
As I already said, the code doesn't work with NetDNA, so there is nothing to fix. A different approach must be taken, and I am looking for solutions other than that which is already broken.by toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
I talked to NetDNA and they said my redirect would in fact cause a redirect loop. Unfortunately the PHP project I am using the CDN for would take a long time to convert URLs to the CDN for static files so another route may be a better solution. There has been mention of using proxy_pass to an upstream to pass static files off to the upstream CDN. I've tried a few different ways to apply this, bby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
It is possible my CDN is using the same ruleset. I am using MaxCDN, and they use Nginx to serve static images. How would I write this ruleset to be compatible with MaxCDN (aka NetDNA)?by toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
I have tried both ways to redirect my static files to a CDN (content delivery network), but both ways result in the message "too many redirects." Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here? location ~* ^.+.(jpe?g|gif|css|png|js|ico)$ { rewrite ^ http://cdn.mydomain.com$request_uri? permanent; access_log off; } location ~* \.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|flv|mp3|mpg|mpeg|jby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
I am considering the following code to block image hotlinking, while allowing Google images and Page Speed CDN Service access: location ~ \.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|ico|flv|mp3|mpg|mpeg)$ { expires max; valid_referers blocked ~\.google\. ~\.googleusercontent\.; if ($invalid_referer) { rewrite ^ http://www.hollywoodgrind.com/; } } Before I start using this code I'dby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
Was able to get php-fpm installed on the server from the remi repo. Everything works fine now with the same configuration above. http://blog.famillecollet.com/post/2010/09/27/PHP-FPM-and-NGINXby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
I failed to see the php-cgi process wasn't running when I sent the last message. I am still getting a blank page, not 502 bad gateway.by toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
With my current configuration below the IP address is not appearing properly in Wordpress. In the fastcgi.conf I have: fastcgi_param REMOTE_ADDR $remote_addr; In the nginx.conf I have: upstream php { server 127.0.0.1:9000; } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_split_path_info ^(.+\.php)(/.+)$; include fastcgi.conf; fastcgiby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
I am running a Redhat EL5 server using Nginx 0.8.54 on the frontend, with Apache 2.2.3 on the backend and mod_rpaf to forward the IP address to be used in filtering spam from Wordpress comments using the Spam Free Wordpress plugin. (http://www.toddlahman.com/spam-free-wordpress/) I would like to use fastcgi to serve PHP, but I am not aware of any way for fastcgi to forward the visitor's IP addrby toddlahman - Nginx Mailing List - English
