Hi all, I'm using a pretty simple WordPress nginx config that is documented on the WordPress codex. http://codex.wordpress.org/Nginx All works fine except for 1 critical aspect. The config uses a restrictions.conf which has some fairly simple rules for blocking unauthorized access to specific files and file patterns like the following: # Deny all attempts to access hidden files suchby edbloom - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hey Vid, Forgot to say thanks for the additional suggestions re: fastcgi buffers - they're making a bit of a difference but I need to run some more tests to optimize them further. p..s. Just realised you run Zippykid! - heard great things :) On Monday, October 22, 2012 5:09:26 PM UTC+1, Vid Luther wrote: > > Have you seen this page? http://wiki.nginx.org/HttpFastcgiModule > > Thiby edbloom - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Hey Vid, My fastcgi_params file - it's pretty much the stock params file: http://pastebin.com/XBF9jaUq On Monday, October 22, 2012 1:58:51 PM UTC+1, Vid Luther wrote: > > are you sure that the php script itself isn't timing out in terms of > hitting max execution time? > can you share your nginx fastcgi_params? > > -- > Vid Luther > Sent with Sparrow http://www.sparroby edbloom - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Re: buffers - this was my next avenue of investigation :) When we talk about buffers are we talking about nginx or php buffers - or both?? Hey Felipe, Thanks for your input. I've switched between sockets and tcp and found no real difference - the problem persists with both. Hi folks, Getting reasonably frequent upstream timeouts in my nginx error logs: *45896 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1 The site in question is a Magento powered shop with fairly low/moderate traffic (few thousand visits per day) My setup - VPS with 4GB RAM, 8 core CPU - ubuntu 12.04 - nginx 1.2.1 w/ extras - php-by edbloom - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Hi, Actually think I figured out my problem. I also had this rule in my config: # Cache static files for as long as possible location ~* \.(xml|ogg|ogv|svg|svgz|eot|otf|woff|mp4|ttf|css|rss|atom|js|jpg|jpeg|gif|png|ico|zip|tgz|gz|rar|bz2|doc|xls|exe|ppt|tar|mid|midi|wav|bmp|rtf)$ { try_files $uri =404; expires max; access_log off;by edbloom - How to...
Hi there, I'm trying to setup the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin's sitemap functionality to place nice with nginx and php-fpm. The plugin uses WordPress built in rewrite rule API (NOT .htaccess or nginx rule based - see here http://codex.wordpress.org/Rewrite_API/add_rewrite_rule). Therefore it takes a request like http://mysite.com/sitemap_index.xml and rewrites this within WordPress to someby edbloom - How to...
Hi there, I have a linode 512 vps account running nginx 1.0.2 and php 5.3.3 on Ubuntu 10.10 For some reason when I need to restart php (e.g. config change, new process pool etc.) upon the first restart I sometimes get an nginx 502 bad gateway error. The restart itself goes fine via ssh - the error shows up upon a screen refresh. Simply doing another restart of php fixes the issue. I'm using /etcby edbloom - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Hi all, For anyone who is interested I managed to figure out both of these today after a lot of trail and error: a.) phpmyadmin on a different port: server { listen 8084; server_name MYIPADDRESS; ...rest of config... } b.)
