I am struggling to set up a puppet master server in NginX with a Unicorn backend. The standalone puppet server is working properly, and so is the nginx -> unicorn -> puppet configuration without the default certificate authentication (that is with path / auth no allow * directive set in puppet's auth.conf). But the standard model of authenticating via .pem certificates gives me 403 errors:by nofun - How to...

Thank you so much for the very fast reply. It does work perfectly. Thanks.by nofun - Nginx Mailing List - English
Can some one please help me setting up Nagios on NginX. I installed spawn-fcgi and fcgiwrap in Ubuntu, and I have Nagios 3.2.3 installed in /opt/nagios. So I have the two folders: /opt/nagios/share for web files, and /opt/nagios/sbin for cgi scripts. I tried with this config (with no success though): location / { root /opt/nagios/share; index index.html; rewrite ^/nagios/imageby nofun - Nginx Mailing List - English
I respect the work of the people you mentioned, and most of the configuration I gathered is from both of these sources, but I don't want to limit this to only drupal, or worpdress but also other applications. Unlike YHager's repo I would like to update this with all possible security rules and maybe better organize it. On the other hand Grace's configuration is extremely bloated. I don't really neby nofun - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thank you for the reply, I will make the necessary changes as soon as possible. This is exactly why I started this project. Nobody tells you this stuff, and the configuration files are scattered all over the internet. And this leads to misconfiguration of nginx and thus to unsatisfied users. NginX is a great program with great potential and should be used accordingly.by nofun - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hello, I am trying to put together a set of configuration files, generalized for different web applications (for the moment just Drupal and WordPress) and with added security. All of them will be modular so that they can be interchanged, and also I tried to listen to many advices on this forum, like the use of try_files instead of if, etc. And of course this needs to be very simple and generalby nofun - Nginx Mailing List - English
I will, as soon as I will get an answer. You probably want to bring this up on the php general or possibly php dev/internals list or #php.pecl on efnet. Thank you. I'll do that...by nofun - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
I have a running Ubuntu 10.04 with php 5.3.3 and fpm compiled from sources. Also APC version 3.1.3p1 was installed. When I upgraded my APC to version 3.1.4, my drupal logs are suddenly filled with: apc_store(): Potential cache slam averted for key 'dru-perf:vladgh.com:rss.xml' in /srv/www/drupal6sites/sites/all/modules/devel/performance/performance.module on line 273. Try only: location ~ ^/(status|ping)$ { fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php/mysite.fpm.sock; include fastcgi_params_phpfpm; } And the address should be http://mysite.com/status (without .php).by nofun - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
In php-fpm.conf set: pm.status_path = /status They even say: ; Note: The value must start with a leading slash (/). The value can be ; anything, but it may not be a good idea to use the .php extension or it ; may conflict with a real PHP file. And add this location in nginx: location ~ ^/(status|ping)$ { try_files $uri 404; fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php/mysite.fpm.socby nofun - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Doing some tests I compiled from sources php 5.3.3 with the new suhosin patch and latest apc. It works great and I discovered something: the memory consumption is lower (including the committed memory) even though the compiled modules are the same as those installed through apt. Can someone explain this? Is there a difference between the loading of libraries in an apt install versus a manual compiby nofun - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
I would love to install it but I will wait until the suhosin patch will be available for 5.3.3 and maybe ubuntu will post it in their repositories.by nofun - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
