Dear Community,

I managed to get my site into a fully functional state two days ago.. Around 3 hours ago today, I've restarted my linux box and have found my site to no longer work. I have no idea as to why this would be and quite frankly I just don' think I'm at a level right now to fix it - I could really do with your help :)

Basically all my Nginx php files are rendering as blank or stating 'Permission Denied'

PHP-FPM was working fine the other day... Now i'm getting this error!!

My site has been working fine since I restarted it today!! Grr.

I've posted an in-depth report / and included code at http://serverfault.com/questions/650395/nginx-php-fpm-permission-denied-while-reading-response-header-from-upstream

I'd be very very greatful if someone could help me out :(

Kind Regards,
Jake

Is the php-fpm service running ?

Have you got it running as a service?

check your processes can you see it running there ? run ps -ef in the terminal, you can also grep for it i imagine it would be ps -ef | grep php-fpm

if you cant see it run php-fpm again as you probably started it as a background process so as soon as you restart your server this process will be killed off.
