hello to all,
I am using ubuntu 11.10 and I am nginx newbie and obviously I have issues:)

1. I wanted to update to 1.4.1 from 1.0.5 with these steps
apt-get install python-software-properties
add-apt-repository ppa:nginx/stable
apt-get update
apt-get install nginx

It seems as is it has installed (no error during install) but nginx -v is still telling me I have 1.0.5
What I missed?

2.I am confused about configuration. What is the reference link for setting configuration.
Various sources from web suggest I shall put conf files in sites-available, but then is nginx.conf needed?
Also for me it seems as conf files in sites'available are ignored and is used just nginx.conf

P.S. Btw I am from Croatia and looking to put my first major web project alive. I have a minor one that died prematurely.
