I agree on both, a typical smtp tcp proxy needs 8, rdp would be fine with 3.
The point is to get some guidance which value would be 'typical' for use of a tcp proxy for xxx to complement the tcp documentation (when it comes to using a tcp proxy as ssl termination point).
