Re: smtp proxy with postfix

OK, back to square one now!

Somehow Outlook is able to send a testmessage - but trying to send email from Outlook via smtp requires an authentication - as expected...

So, I'm stuck here....

If I Telnet to port 25, then I get:

220 mail.mydomain.de ESMTP ready
ehlo xxx
250-mail.mydomain.de
250-SIZE 10485760
250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
250-8BITMIME
250-DSN
250 STARTTLS

But no:
250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN
250-AUTH=PLAIN LOGIN

These keywords are only present once I set smtp_auth login plain cram-md5;

However, in the Telnet session, I can succesfully perform: auth login

What am I missing here?

Thanks for help,
