Can home WiFi cameras be hacked?
October 29, 2020 10:25AM
Hi, I`ve been looking for a home camera for several months now, but so far unsuccessfully. Privacy is very important to me, but unfortunately I haven’t found a secure camera yet. I would be really thankful for any suggestions :)

Issue a fixed IP address to such device and block that IP address from going out to the internet.
Then use ssh or vpn to access your router and from there on to access the device.

This works for any device.

Hi, I would highly recommend you to look for cameras that don't store the footage on the cloud, because they`re not as secure as cameras with built-in storage.

I've tested lots of home cameras over the last few years and the best so far is a cam called Homam. It's really secure, because only you can decrypt the data with your phone when your camera gets stolen or something. This cam captures video continuously and most importantly, it has a great video quality, day or night. Here’s a link if you’re interested https://zorachka.com/homam.
