Hello, I am newbie with nginx and I'm a little lost.

I have a database with postgres-9.1 in linux and I just installed nginx, my intention is to access from any other computer in the database that I have in linux using nginx as servidor.
Now i´m trying to conecct the db with nginx but i don´t get it,
I have read in some post that install php also, is necessary =?

If someone could help me, I will be grateful, thanks.
