User setting in nginx.conf

I have a question about nginx.conf.

In my old server, apache was used as webserver. Later I change it to nginx and the user in nginx.conf is "user apache apache"

And ther server runs smoothly.

Now, I set up a brand new server and I direcly install nginx to the server.

In nginx.conf, the user is set to "user nginx"

It will return 403 when I access the websites on the server.

The document root of the websites is /xxxxx/public/

and the owner of this root is "usera"

When I change the user setting of nginx.conf to "user usera user;"

It works smoothly when I access the websites.

So, I would like to know what is the problem here. Is it possible for me to change the setting back to "user nginx" and make everything work? Of course I will not prefer to change the owner of the document root to "nginx"

Thanks!
