Hi,

We have started using nginx as our SSL termination and load balancing - and so far it has been superb!

We have around 20 servers below the two nginx's and it's becoming increasingly difficult to trace the requests coming in.

Is there anyway to add a unique ID to a custom header at the nginx level?

What about https://github.com/simpl/ngx_http_set_hash ?
Okay you have to recompile your stuff, but this should do the job.
