Currently on nginx 8.54 and php-fpm 5.3.4 (fileinfo shows 1.0.5-dev), Can someone test php fileinfo with my above versioning and tell me if they get the results of testing a txt file for example. Or mayble tell me if there is a configuration problem that prevents php-fpm from giving me the fileinfo of a file. Thank you.by wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English

I apologize if I wasn't clear. You would not need it in the startup scripts if you set higher security limits. However if you merely edit the profile ulimit; that setting has no effect on php-fpm or nginx startup.by wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
mike. common mistake is to assume the profile setting will set the ulimit for startup scripts. This is not the case.by wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
this was an old thread but thankyou for the response. You could also set the ulimit in the startup script. I would suggest that setting be commented in the config file so there wasn't any confusion but since it's been over 9months I guess only a few people would change that setting.by wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
thanks. I found an answer --with-libevent=shared,usr or --with-libevent=shared --with-libevent=user but that thread was suppose to be updated on a fix.. Which I can't find. In attempting to find it I found this link: http://forum.nginx.org/read.php?3,9364 which is useful. please update this in the readme. finding these solutions can be a pain in the A$$ and I'm still not sure if it's a goodby wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
I have installed php-fpm before with 5.2.10 before it was moved to laundpad. I'm trying to install the 5.2.11 patch on my vps using the readme.markdown integrated step and it fails when it cannot find libevent. I have compiled 1.4.12 by source and installed 1.4.13 by source with necessary links but it just can't find it. Using centos 5.3 Any assistance is appreciated as the separate method woby wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
experiencing the same problem. not working with Weibin Yao patch eitherby wolfenstock - Nginx Mailing List - English
I am keep getting these type of errors even though i set php-fpm.conf much higher : fpm_unix_init_main(), line 284: getrlimit(nofile): max:1024, cur:1024 fpm_unix_init_child(), line 168: setrlimit(RLIMIT_NOFILE) failed: Invalid argument (22)" I can confirm the hard/soft limit is much higher for centos os. I can confirm the user running as is much higherhigher but no matter what it sby wolfenstock - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
hrm... I do not think the $hosts variable is bad. You use it to give your existing domain hierarchy an error log in that folder for that domain. This is what I have for the access_log. Without the working $host in the error_log I would have to separately write each domain again to put it in it's subfolder. Not very productive.by wolfenstock - Nginx Mailing List - English
any chance to get this to work. access_log accepts the variable but the error_log spits out an error. Is this by design?by wolfenstock - Nginx Mailing List - English
