Sorry but that would be the wrong way around. There's nothing against adding fpm SAPI to the upstream source. In 5.3 we already have 20 different SAPI in php-src/sapi folder. So what hell difference will +1 more sapi there make? Answer: none. Some time after the PHP sapi is settled in the php code, then later you may come along and do whatever you like, clean it up, dissecting it. Whatever. Hello, There have been some developments on the highload-php-en recently. It seems that we should think to give all code ownership to you guys here on the Russian list. Otherwise for english documentation / website, that's seems to be held by the responsibility of Mike Shadle. The rest of this discussion is explained purely in terms of source code ownership ;) Maybe please translate to Russianby dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - Russian
Hi, I have not tried myself, but sockets were discussed before: http://groups.google.com/group/highload-php-en/browse_thread/thread/72987134573199ec http://groups.google.com/group/highload-php-en/browse_thread/thread/1e0a48f80d19cf9d We would be very grateful if someone could properly test sockets compared against TCP. Hi, It's actually the same. 103 is the revision number. Future versions will have a higher incremented revision number to show they are newer (107, 113, etc). The current version '0.6' files look older because the archive files were only uploaded recently. This was due to a bug in launchpad, and not for any other reason. Yep. We discuss on the thread: "official download links changing".by dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Hi, The filenames of the official download links are changing. This is significant if you are a gentoo-ebuild or freebsd-portfile maintainer. Its part of an improved scheme whereby a history of previously released files shall be kept available, allowing md5 check, more stable official download link etc. For these affected ebuild owners we hope this to be a welcome change (although perhaps rather aby dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - Russian
Hi Steve, Unfortunately we simply cannot do anything about http redirects for files hosted on launchpad.net. Heres what i found out: export PHP_VER=5.3.0 wget --max-redirect=0 "http://launchpad.net/php-fpm/master/0.6/+download/php-fpm-0.6~$PHP_VER.tar.gz" # => fails wget --max-redirect=1 "http://launchpad.net/php-fpm/master/0.6/+download/php-fpm-0.6~$PHP_VER.tar.gz" # =>by dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
Well, You have in there the php-0.6.3 (with embedded libevent). That's all the debian/patches/fpm.patch file that comes with it there. We would ideally like to update to the current version, but as you have discovered it still works! Its mostly just small configuration improvements, etc. that would come with the current 0.6. Another thing is that I originally didn't properly VCS branch off the ofby dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - English

I think so. Yeah, "Step #7" here: http://dreamcat4.jottit.com/php5_-_packaging_fpm_for_ubuntu_9.10 It also gives the steps for uploading to PPA build farm. If you haven't make yourself a GPG key yet, then i'd recommend just not to set the passphrase! Its a PITA and a hassle to revoke those things afterward. Allright, Well the answer is simply that the "php-build-dir' path you specifed isn't pointing to any php build directory containing the proper php object files. So that's whats missing. Myself, I currently have no better suggestion than to update the existing / outdated 0.6.3 broken rules file. It just seems to me as a little easier that way? The script does not set: --with-config-file-path= --with-config-file-scan-dir[=PATH] --with-libevent="$LIBEVENT_SEARCH_PATH" in the major php build phase. Also it doesn't 'make install' or 'make install --dry-run' in the last target at the very end. Note that you don't need to compile FPM twice anyway. Allright, I believe Ethanial is complaining because the official instructions don't mention any freebsd port. So its rather missing from the official documentation. Which suggests something like an approved list of rpm, deb, portfile, for the various OS distributions. Hi, Im sorry but I have just tried this and get the same result as henrik did. Using exec doesn't to anything either from a script or on the command line. Are you sure it might not be something special that DaemonTools is doing? We expect FPM is forking away to background. Thats for any 0.6 including 0.6-5.3.1. BTW the 0.6 FPM are all tested for at least php version 5.2.10. We don't know if it works for previous versions (php-5.2.6). But you are welcome to try. For libevent you can either: 1) compile statically the libevent. Don't bother, The reason is there's no daemon mode period. We have seen changes between 0.5 and 0.6 in the cgi/cgi_main.c. Im not sure exactly why Andrei decided to take the non-daemon mode out specifically, but it was with a general re-organisation of the command line options. If you know C, you could probably put the feature back (as a non-default switch) in without too much efforts, Otherwiseby dreamcat4 - Php-fpm Mailing List - English
