Hi All, Can I please check. (linux noob :) I am compiling nginx under Ubuntu 10.4 - but I need to deploy on 8.04. It that going to work, or should I avoid grief by compiling under 8.04? Hi all, I am getting entries like this in my nginx error log, and I have no idea what they might mean. (I am also getting /phpmyadmin/index.php served as a file, and not passed to php-fastcgi, and they might be related). Hi guys, I have code that uses the nginx long polling module *almost* working. It all works fine except that, about one start in 4, the read message repeatedly returns the same first message. It has never failed under a debugger! It appears to fail more often on a mac, and using FF under Linux than in windows. I'm at a loss. How can I track down the problem? Any ideas appreciated. Hi All, I'm trying to use the long polling module. I got it compiled, installed and running:- ian@titan:~$ nginx -V nginx version: nginx/0.7.65 built by gcc 4.3.3 (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) configure arguments: --with-openssl=/usr/lib/ssl/ --sbin-path=/usr/sbin --conf-path=/etc/nginx/nginx.conf --add-module=/home/ian/sources/nginx_http_push_module-0.69 ian@titan:~$ But I can't get it configuredby hobson42 - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, I saw the HTTP push module and it looks like it might be ideal for my purposes, but I am not clear how best to use it. (Linux nubie). It seems that I set up the module and configure it to have a /publish and /subscribe url - each using ?id=<channel> parameter, so we can have more than one push stream at a time. The javascript in the clients then use XMLHttpRequest to GET from theby hobson42 - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi gloomen, I think you need to log each virtual server to a different log file. What I suspect is happening is that that log file is getting logs from other virtual servers or the main server, and that is inflating your figures. And I don't think your log_format command is necessary either. I don't have a log_format command and webalizer works just fine. Further thinking... The browser may request images and other content in parallel, and more than one such file may be php based, so symoultanious requests are not the problem or the cuase of the 499. Further investigation revealed that the client times out the server after 10 seconds or so, and re-sends the request. I rather suspect that this is the cause of the 499s. Hi all, I need some help. A system I'm supporting is collapsing in a heap whenever it is put under even moderate load! The setup - Ubuntu, nginx 0.7.62, php-fastcgi. The application is a chatroom, and is built as follows. Main screen is multi-panelled. One panel shows data entry area. When "send" button clicked, the input is sent to the server. Hi all, I have just fallen foul of a minor difference between Apache 2.2 and nginx. I have a search form, that submits via a GET to php.
