Hello, Sorry for bumping this topic but I was trying to setup a similar configuration. I want to show cached pages for a refresh of 6 min to guests (cookie user=guest) and to members (cookie user=usergroup) Am I able to read the value from the cookie? How? How do I add X-Accel-Expires: 0 to nginx? Thanksby nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, Thank you. I'm running nginx as frontend and apache2/mod_php as backend.by nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, What is the best practice to gzip content? In the frontend or at the backend? Wich performs better? If I have gzip enabled in both backend and frontend, will I have a duplicated issue? Thanks Nunoby nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thank you Igor. I already know that. I was think about something like this just to proxy_cache & fastcgi_cache: location / { proxy_cache zone; ... proxy_cache_match ^~ /products/; proxy_cache_match ^~ /catalog/; ... }by nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thank you Igor, Maybe a suggestion (I don't know nginx fully) ... have a regular expression implementation to cache functions. Thanks Nby nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Ok .. Thanks Igor :) So, If I have a "site.com/contact/" it will be cached since we have: location / { proxy_cache zone; ... } To avoid this I need to add: location /contact/ { proxy_cache off; # default ... } Is that it?by nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thank you for your explanations. Now, using proxy_cache_* am I able to cache only some pages? Example: site.com/ site.com/products/ site.com/products/cars/ site.com/products/cars/ferrari.php :) How can I cache only "site.com/" and "site.com/products/"? Thanks Nby nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, I'm using nginx with apache2 + mod_php. Php pages are proxied to apache and nginx handles all static files (css, js, png, jpg, gif). I have lots of small files (forum design + smilies) ... Can nginx cache theses files in memory? How? If so, do I have any benefit with this approach? Is this faster than serving from disk? Thanks Nby nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English

Hi, I'm trying to understand how proxy_cache_path levels works, but any changes I made to levels=1:2 will not be accepted bu nginx. What are levels for and how can I use it?? Are the values 1:2 the only ones that can be used? Thanks N.by nfn - Nginx Mailing List - English
