@ Igor FYI I having nginx 0.7.62 on another server which is being used to serve static content and it is using similar settings. It is not setting the Transfer-Encoding header. Here are the gzip settings. The files in question are between 2-50K unzipped. server_names_hash_bucket_size 128; keepalive_timeout 0; gzip on; gzip_http_version 1.0; gzip_comp_level 5;by sameer - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, I recently upgraded from nginx-0.6.36 to 0.7.62. We are setting cache friendly headers and after the upgrade we started seeing this Transfer-Encoding: chunked. This has broken caching. How can I remove this from the HTTP headers? There is a old patch from Igor but those changes are already present in 0.7.62. Hi, Sorry for the delayed response. @Igor I tried putting the deny statement after the real_ip_header True-Client-IP line and didn't do the job. Any other suggestions? Sameerby sameer - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thanks for the reply vesperto but the real IP of the client is not the same as $REMOTE_IP. I already tried the AccessModule and that didn't do the job. In my scenario $REMOTE_IP is the IP of the proxy serving which is forwarding the request and $TRUE-CLIENT-IP is a field in the HTTP head which contains the requesting IP which I wish to block. Hi, We are using Akamai for site acceleration and wish to block traffic from a set of IPs. Can I just do something like if $TRUE-CLIENT-IP ~ IP { deny all; } or do I need to search the HTTP_Header This is not a variable defined in the HTTP core module. Sameerby sameer - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, I am using nginx to proxy requests to Apache. In our current setup the request flow is as follows. Akamai -> Load Balancer(Layer4) ->nginx -> Apache I am in the process of converting a cluster to this setup. The issue is whenever an nginx machine is introduced in a cluster of non-nginx machines all the connections are redirected to nginx. The machine can handle the load but fby sameer - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi All, I am a Linux admin from India. I started using nginx for serving static content in April. After my boss was satisfied I was able to convince it to start using it as a SSL accelerator and reverse proxy. We serve about 100million requests a day. Most of them are served by nginx directly or indirectly. Our site is ranked in Top5 in India in terms of traffic. Sameerby sameer - New Member Introductions
