Hello Maxim, I found out where the problem was! Cache-Control: max-age=10 where 10 are 10 seconds. Setting the Cache-Control to 3 hours Cache-Control: max-age=10800 works as expected.by fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
On last problem. It only works when # proxy_ignore_headers Cache-Control; # proxy_ignore_headers Expires; are commented. So I'm trying to figure out how to set the "Expires" header with nginx and this doesn't work.by fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
I just installed nginx 0.8.11 in order to use the $upstream_cache_status variable. I can see now in the logs that my URLs (ics feed URLs) are cached and retrieved from the cache (MISS, HIT, EXPIRED) based on my caching parameters. But, it only works when proxy_ignore_headers Cache-Control; proxy_ignore_headers Expires; are used and left uncommented. I have read iby fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
This seems to work ;-) You need to upgrade nginx to version 0.8.3 or newer to get access to this variable. So here are my logs and the values of the variables do match what I'm expected. To test I set the cache to 1 minute. proxy_cache_valid 200 1m; xxx - - [31/Aug/2009:03:04:48 -0400] "GET /cal/xxx/851aaaedc0e9debc7d242ca2-xxx/events/ics/attending,unsure,not_replied/ HTTP/1.1" 200by fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
I'm trying to use nginx with caching capabilities. And I don't know how to test if nginx is really caching files and using them. I can see the files that nginx is caching, but I don't know if it uses them when I request the same URL again.by fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
I'm a scalr.net user. Scalr.net is a management system that sits on top of Amazon Web Services. It does use nginx as load balancer when you build a farm with app servers behind it. I was fine with it until I reached an important number of users. So I looked for a solution to cache the requests. I first ugrade the original Ubuntu 8.04 with nginx 0.5.3 to the 0.6.38 version of nginx and I noticeby fredericsidler - Nginx Mailing List - English
