Hello all, I have a situation with nginx where occasionally all my worker process hang (a ps -awx returns D state) which means that my webserver becomes irresponsive. I have to add that the lock occurs when trying to serve some files from a OCFS2 file system and the only way to solve this is to reboot our fileserver. Obviously I can see that the main problem lies in OCFS2 and not nginx, howby ainou - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hello, This maybe a stupidly simple question but I haven't found an answer yet. I have a working nginx module where I process one of the http variabels using ngx_http_arg function ngxinx provides. What I'm doing know is to have this same http variable being searching in memcache and if found I want to pass that value to my module. What would be the correct way to achieve this? Thanks for all thby ainou - Nginx Development
As it turns out the fault was on the client side (as always ;-)) Testing the request with a simple wget url proved that nginx was in fact returned the data as requested by the client. Hello, Could someone explain me why my nginx configuration has a delay when sending file (from 19:07:39 to 19:09:59) This same configuration used to work in my development environment but in our staging server it has this behaviour. The one thing that is different is that this last one is build on SAN storage with RAID 5 but Linux sees it as an /dev/sdx partition. 2012/01/16 19:07:39 4799#0: *3by ainou - Nginx Development
Hello, I have this piece of configuration that is almost copy+pasted from the ngx_postgres example but that for some unknown reason to me is not working. The value of the $s variable is always empty ou NULL if I use postgres_escape. location ~ '^/foo/(+)/(.*)$' { set $sid $1; set $url $2 ; eval_subrequest_in_memory off; eval_overrideby ainou - Nginx Mailing List - English
I was just doing that but I found the module to be somehow complex and I found no answers for it (again....) See for instance this line that you can find trough out the file r->connection->buffered &= ~NGX_HTTP_GZIP_BUFFERED; The r->connection->buffered is not used in the nginx core only in one other modulel ngx_http_image_filter_module.c Anyone know what this line influencinby ainou - Nginx Development
Well since I got no response I suppose that I might have not expressed myself properly. The problem is that I don't know howto tell nginx that there is no information and to go on with the next request in the output buffer chain. I looked at other modules and google around but couldn't find any information that I could use. Any help would be appreciated. AM On 8 August 2011 16:38, Adelino Moby ainou - Nginx Development
Hello, I've build an output filter based on the guide from Evan Miller and some other modules. Everything has been working fine but lately I found that my next_body_filter call is returning NGX_AGAIN. This happens when I only have a very small chain that won't get processed (I put in the ctx to process the next time), so the call to ngx_http_next_body_filter(r, in) basically don't has any outby ainou - Nginx Development
Thanks, that information was priceless ;-) It works like a charm now. Hello, I'm writing my first module (actually a copy from mod_strip with some simple modifications) I have this simple function that for testing purposes should simply make a simple substitution of all chars to A. I used gdb and chain_link->buf->start indeed has all the characters replaced with A. However the output in the end is the original file without any other modification. Hello, I've searching for a module that would do something quite simple as encrypt the contents requested from nginx. For example in the request http://host/file.html file.html would be read by nginx and this module would encrypt it and send back to the client. For obvious reasons the client would need to decrypt the file so this would not be used by a simple browser but in a webapp scenario.by ainou - Ideas and Feature Requests
