Hi, I have similar problems. When running nginx for some time, the pid file nginx.pid in /var/run/nginx/ disappears altogether. After a nginx restart it is created properly. Hi, we use an nginx reverse proxy cache to serve media file downloads. An issue we currently have is that for the first uncached requests to the proxy, nginx is unable to respond to partial-requests and returns HTTP 200 instead which results in errors for some download clients. Most important for us is that files disappear from the cache within 60 min after deletion from the origins So, I think for us the best way to go at the moment is to us the cache_purge module in order to delete files from the cache after they have been delete from the origin as setting the expire time at 60 min is not a good option for us.
