I understand. It's still not how I would do it. Consider this: Use nginx listening on 80 as reverse proxy for all of your sites to apache listening on 81. One by one, change your sites to nginx. If things do not work out, all you need to do is to stop nginx and set apache back to listening on 80. That way you aren't messing around with a third program. And yes, either way, your reverse proxyby Jim Ohlstein - New Member Introductions

Hi Alfi and welcome to the site. Before you deploy your new setup you should consider using nginx alone. If you really need apache you can use nginx as your reverse proxy also, and eliminate the need for pound. Why is it that you need apache?by Jim Ohlstein - New Member Introductions

I have servers with many dozens of virtual host files so a quick generator would make life easier I'm sure. Such a generator would need to be specific to the version and user, and perhaps the OS. As new versions of nginx are released, often new features are added, or features are changed. Many users use different paths and different system users. I typically put my virtual host files in /home/jby Jim Ohlstein - Ideas and Feature Requests

Thank you Igor. We are seeing some issue with posting delays. I don't know if it's that you are moderating new members, but the email that I am using for the list has a long delay in posting. An earlier message, not in this thread, had the following in the headers: Received: from mailrelay1.rambler.ru ([81.19.66.239]) by ontico.ru with esmtp (Exim 4.30; FreeBSD) id 1LmhyN-0006Ts-FYby Jim Ohlstein - Nginx Mailing List - English

Hello Everyone, Having taken into consideration all that was said previously, we took the forum offline and did some tweaking. As of now all outgoing mails should have the requested headers so they will be properly sorted by MUA's. All posts to the list are being posted to the forum, albeit with some charset issues that should not impact the list. After testing a few different products and considering staying with vBulletin we have decided that this software (Phorum) offers the best functionality and potential for mailing list integration. Incoming messages are being posted here currently. Outgoing mail to the forum functionality will be added shortly.
