I have NGINX setup in a docker container which configures NGINX access logs to stdout with this RUN ln -sf /dev/stdout /var/log/nginx/access.log && \ ln -sf /dev/stderr /var/log/nginx/error.log When the container is built I see access logs scroll across my terminal from late last year until it reaches today. At which point anytime I hit my server I see the new output of the logby anagio - How to...
I have this htaccess file that's used in my zend project. Thanks, the only thing the perl conf is doing is reading a list of sub-domains and placing them into the config file where server_name is no different than if I entered them manually. So before a customer creates a CNAME we'll need to add their domain into the list of server_names. Thanks I'll test this with a few of my own domainsby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Our web app gives each user a sub-domain. I'd like to offer some larger plans CNAME's so they can point one of their own domain names with a CNAME to their sub-domain on our server ie; username.ourwebapp.com customersdomain.com => CNAME username.ourwebapp.com Our NGINX server is configured with wild card sub-domains, but uses a perl conf to read valid sub-domains from a file. Isn't include only for nginx.conf file? How would I add this to the sites-available/server file to include a remote file with list of sub-domains?by anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
I need to add a lot of sub-domains to a configuration file as users register on our website our script needs to add the sub-domain. Is it possible to use a variable or function in the config file so it loads a remote file which has sub-domains listed one per line? It would be easier for our developers to add a sub-domain one per line into a file. Then trying to add them into the configuration fileby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thanks, is it possible to add a module after it's been compiled?by anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
I setup an amazon ec2 instance that had nginx pre-compiled is there a way to see what optional modules have been configured? Thanksby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Summary of project: Our website is an SaaS cloud application The main website front end www.example.com runs wordpress. When users register for an account we will need to create a virtual host for the user, so they can login at username.example.com The server which will manage all sub-domain virtual hosts will be Nginx. I was told that Nginx can be configured without a default virtualby anagio - Requests for Paid Services
Is there a way to capture all requests to sub-domains which do not have a virtual host setup, and redirect to a custom 404 page? I will have a wild card A record setup *.example.com and all our users will have a sub-domain username.example.com. If someone enters a sub-domain which does not exist how can I redirect to a custom 404 page rather than have it resolve since wild card is setup? Thanksby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Given I use this method for sub-domains map $http_host $subdir { hostnames; default "default"; .foo.bar.com "foo"; .baz.bar.com "baz"; } Is there a method to redirect any requests for sub-domains which do not exist (404s) to a custom html/php page?by anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Our website currently runs wordpress to manage the front end site www.example.com When users register they get a subdomain username.example.com where they can login to our application. The application is built on zend framework. I'd like to have the zf project on an entirely different server than where we run the wordpress www.example.com domain. How would the default server config be setupby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Thanks now if I wanted to let a member who has a sub-domain on our domain, "user.domain.com" map one of their own domains or sub-domains using a cname. I would need to create a ServerAlias for their sub-domain, in apache2 it would be something like below. So using the regex probably wouldn't be the best method, so just adding them as you listed in the first reply is how to go about it?by anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi, In your example does that mean I would need to add entries for each sub-domain as needed. If that's the case, wouldn't I have to restart nginx each time a new entry is made? I plan to have sub-domains created when users register. Will I have to restart?by anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hello I'm new to nginx and was wondering if there is a configuration that is similar to apaches mass dynamic virtual hosts http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/mass.html I'm having an SaaS developed where users will get a subdomain and would like to set this up as efficiently as possible. As of now i'm using apache but would like to move to nginx and get this setup Thanksby anagio - Nginx Mailing List - English
