I'm wondering if RTP hint tracks in MP4 files are necessary to provide progressive download functionality over my NGINX server configuration. I can't remember where but I read somewhere that these additional tracks support the server by seeking operations (byte-range). Thanks for your feedback, Hannesby bongtv - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi! Tried to cache the X-Accel-Redirect responses from Phusion Passenger application server with the use of a second layer without success (followed the hint on http://forum.nginx.org/read.php?2,241734,241948#msg-241948). Configuration: 1) Application server (Phusion Passenger) adds X-Accel-Redirect header to response sends to 2) NGINX server >> tries toby bongtv - Nginx Mailing List - English
Hi everyone, resume download does not work in the standard installation and settings of 1.0.11 I installed it on debian 6, 64 bit and no static file (zip, tgz,...) is resumed if I restart an aborted download. No proxy is involved. Files are served directly. Did I missed something? Any ideas? Thanks a lot, regards, Foxby bongtv - How to...
Hi! We currently use the nginx version 1.0.11 and sometimes nginx has to proxy files about 500MB. What will be the perfect setting for this proxy location: proxy_buffering ON or OFF? Does proxy_buffering do some kind of optimization of the transfer? Thanks a lot for an answer.by bongtv - How to...

Hi everyone. First of all thanks a lot for your help and answers. I run another test, because we had many requests from our clients.. (with Safari) ... that the site seems to be slower. I run a test locally with a older version of nginx: 0.6.34 => with this version the gzip shows up correctly in the WebDeveloper of Safari and Chrome. For this reason i suggest, that it is a nginx topic, not a buby bongtv - Nginx Mailing List - English
I used the developer tools built in in the browsers. If there is a compression made you will see this in the ressources pane of the developer tools. In the example above you see that the browser loads the full file. We made a transition from apache to nginx and we found this out because useres wrote us about longer loading times.by bongtv - Nginx Mailing List - English

Hello! I'm using nginx/0.8.38 and like to use the gzip for the many js and css files on my page. Everything works great in FF, but Safari and Chrome downloads the files never gzipped - even if there is a gzip in the "content-Encoding:gzip" in the header.
