I am using Nginx as a reverse web proxy. I host several sites with 1 public IP address. Almost every day when I go to one of the websites I am greeted with a default Apache webpage instead of the hosted site. I reboot the Nginx server and it all starts working again. Why is it doing this????? BTW - All sites, router, and Nginx are running on a Hyper-V server. That shouldn't have anything tby qwazi - How to...
It's been almost 3 weeks and no one has any input on this?? I could really use some direction here. I can't even find the Apache.html page on any of the VM's so I don't know where it's coming from or why. HELP!!!by qwazi - How to...
I'm very confused. I am using Nginx as a reverse web proxy in VM environment with 4 VM web servers. I have 4 conf files directing to each site. The last 2 mornings I have found that all 4 sites are defaulted to an apache start page. There is no apache on the Nginx machine so I assume it's showing the apache page from one of the 4 servers, I'm assuming it's the one listed as default in the confby qwazi - How to...
Very cool. Very simple to understand once you understand it. I did figure this out on my own simply by creating more files for the WWW side of each domain. It now works properly. Thank you.by qwazi - Nginx Mailing List - English
I had to go back and create another conf file for the third domain as it was now directing to the first domain if I use the WWW on it. WEIRD! But creating another conf file works so....unless you want to tell me I'm doing it wrong, I'll leave it for now.by qwazi - Nginx Mailing List - English
I use geopeeker.com to accomplish the same thing only it renders the site so you can see it, not just resolves the name. I fixed the problem but I don't think it's the right way to do it. I created a 4th conf file for just the WWW and it seems to be working correctly now.by qwazi - Nginx Mailing List - English
I'm new to nginx but needed a solution like this. It's very cool but I'm a newbie with a small problem. I'm using nginx as a simple reverse web proxy. I have 3 domains on 2 servers. I'm using 3 files in sites-enabled called your-vhost1.conf , your-vhost2.conf and so on. The stand alone domain is vhost1. The problem is, one of the domains on the server that has 2 isn't resolving correctly fby qwazi - Nginx Mailing List - English
UPDATE I reversed the configuration for host file 1 and 3. Now the missing domain comes up on the public side but the other 2 domains are being forwarded to that as well instead of their own. This is obviously a config problem in the hosts file but I'm lost as to what it is.by qwazi - How to...
I have installed nginx on a hyper-v VM. I am hosting 3 sites. 2 sites on a Win Server VM and 1 site on a Windows 10 VM. The site on the windows 10 VM is working internally but that's only because DNS is routing it correctly. If I try from the outsite world I get 404 error. Running nginx -t says everything is OK. I copied my host file from 1, to 2, to 3 and modified it for each site.by qwazi - How to...
