I’m experiencing an issue that cached 404 responses are revalidated when the requested file are available again on the backend server with an older time stamp. Hereby the details of my issue. Nginx version/build details # nginx -V nginx version: nginx/1.7.10 built by gcc 4.8.2 (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) TLS SNI support enabled configure arguments: --prefix=/usr/share/nginx --sbin-path=/uby tehmaniax - Nginx Development
I would like to see a feature to enable proxy_cache re-validation (proxy_cache_revalidate on|off?) When cached content is expired, nginx should check with the origin server if the content has changed. This to prevent unnecessary downloads from the origin if the content was not changed. e.g. If configured: proxy_cache_valid $value proxy_cache_revalidate on If content is expired afteby tehmaniax - Ideas and Feature Requests
What about a Collapsed Forwarding feature for HttpProxyModule A shared cache that could be used for all of the hosts, allow parallel requests for the same object to be collapsed into a single request.by tehmaniax - Ideas and Feature Requests
