What adjustments are good to do in nginx settings for my server for better performance:

# 2x Intel Xeon Quad 5405
# 8192 MB FB DDR2 RAM
# 500 GB 7.200 RPM
# 1.000Mbit port
# Centos 64bit


I think i must increase the default settings but which of them and which values to use?
