Hi, my name is john and I am working with some drupal 6.2 installations. We use apache as it is the recommended web server but it is using a lot of memory and we don't want to purchase an excessive configuration for a small amount of usage. Root cause is Apache requires about 50mb per connection which adds up quickly.

I read on the comments on Drupal.org that nginx works with Drupal though it is not officially supported. We can't afford to have an experiment in production so I'd like here of any successful drupal instances in production using nginx, what tweaks and tuning were required (a sample config file would be great), and any issues or improvements run into as a result.

I searched the site for drupal related threads but none cover basic configurations. Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. :-)
