Dear all: I am glad to be a part of what I think is a smart software. I am keen to know more. I am not only new to Nginx, but also somewhat new to software programming in general. For the last several months, I have been working on a multimedia software using Flex and Wowza. I have a single server that runs my web server and my media server. I need a proxy to separate and redirect my web traffic and my rtmp traffic(1395 port). I heard that Nginx is a good way to go about it.

I installed Nginx just a few minutes ago and I am trying to poke around it a bit. If anyone has a simple conf file that will enable me to do what I discussed above, I would much appreciate it. I use WAMP for my regular web traffic, Tomcat for my servlets (on port 8080) and Wowza for my media traffic, though I am OK with combining my web and servlet traffic if I need to.

Any and all advice welcome and thanks in advance. Cheers, Ramesh
