php-fpm process limit?
February 15, 2010 10:16PM
I believe my server can handle more than 500 php-fpm processes - and
there are times in which all 500 php-fpm processes are used. However
when I increase the children above this limit, it does not spawn more
than 500. IS there something that I can adjust to make it spawn more
children?

It does not make much sense usually to run so many processes.
There will be a significant CPU overhead for process switching, HDD
load and other problems.
Better set several weak php servers and use nginx as a load balancer.

If your case is different and you need a central server with a huge
amount of processes, please describe details and reasons.
