Now that the development is back, can we have the homepage in English?
Re: php-fpm.org

I am trying to plan on out how to change the website around, yes, it will be
in English first but still retain all the Russian still, and any other
languages.
Trying to determine if I want to make it a wiki or not, and what software to
use, etc... :p

Hi Michael,

Did you saw http://pinba.org ?
For me its structure looks good. Mediawiki is easy to deploy also.

Yes I've seen it. I mean, the project.
and Andrei did setup mediawiki originally once he got the domain, I have the
schema imported but it's an older version so I need to run the older
version, export the data and upgrade it, to reuse that content.

I just don't want the wiki to get polluted with poor examples of usage.
wiki.nginx.org has some wacky stuff on it that really could be optimized or
shouldn't be linked or displayed :)

Either way I will make the wiki require registration to keep out 99% of the
spamming. I've enabled that for the drizzle.org wiki and all spam went away.

Antispam is a good thing to think about and if one can do anything to
prevent it then by all means, please do.
Mediawiki tho might be a bit overkill considering it's not such a big
project. Dokuwiki maybe could be a better choice?
Anyway, it doesn't really matter what software you use for the
website, as long as the website is accessible to most of the people,
therefore should be in English, with an options to have it translated
in other languages and has a nice and easily readable format.

My 2 pence.

Bah, I've just read about the new http://php-fpm.org/ thread. Looks
nice, good job.
Re: php-fpm.org

I can't take much credit. It was the content that Andrei had posted on
php-fpm.org originally, and had some help from "Till"
I did go through and clean it up a little bit and try to change some grammar
and some facts (like about the licensing for instance) and updated the
changelog, etc.

There are a couple pages that are protected, but otherwise, normal users
should be able to edit things. By making it so anonymous users cannot edit
it reduces the spam to just about nothing.

And I did think about other wiki solutions or scrapping a wiki altogether
and just managing the content myself and have people submit edits to me, but
this turned out to be simple enough, and now it has the anyone-can-edit
capabilities just in case. :)
