apache-like pm style

Hi,
When starting php --fpm with 'apache-like' PM it always creates one
master proces + max_children. Changing options under 'apache_like'
group nothing changes. Is apache-like process manager style working?
Or is it only on TODO list? I'm using 0.5.10 on php 5.2.9.
Greets,
