Question about 5-6k php-fpm Processes
October 30, 2012 04:20AM
Dear list-members.

We use currently the classical apache/php setup.
I plan switch to to php-fpm in the current version 5.4.8.

We have tested the application on our test environment with couple
of Processes and it works.

The current apache setup is, which is by far to low.

###
ServerLimit 3100
StartServers 5
MinSpareServers 10
MaxSpareServers 15
MaxClients 3100
MaxRequestsPerChild 1000

###

We will have ~10-15k concurrent User and a lot of static file,
which are delivered from nginx.

How are the experience with such "high" amount of processes with
php-fpm?

I have read this article and it looks to me that php-fpm could handle
this amount of requests ;-)

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Best regards
Aleks
