I work for a company which uses PHP for both its front-end and back-
end. Communication between those two is using basic HTTP requests
right now. We are in the process of migrating the backend from a
apache2 + mod_php to a nginx + php-fpm architecture.

I would like to implement a FastGCI client in pure PHP for the front-
end in order for him talk to the backend without having to pass
through an HTTP server. Do you know where I can find examples of
fastcgi requests or even better the fastcgi protocol. I searched a
little and the only examples I found were server implementations.
