I've read that there's a "status" handler in php-fpm, but I could not
get it to work nor could I find something about it on
http://php-fpm.org/wiki/Configuration_File

You have not mentioned where to add "<value name="status">/status</
value>" in the config file.

I guess from the nginx config provided there
fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $fastcgi_script_name;
would result in SCRIPT_FILENAME=/status, but when I try this, I only
get "No input file specified."

So, my guess is I've not put it in the correct place in php5-fpm.conf
or my php-fpm does not support it yet (using 5.3.1 from dotdeb.org).
