Well, not really sure what NGX_HTTP_SUBREQUEST really does after looking at
the source code. I do note that the SSI filter code (src/http/modules/*ssi*)
manages it's own serialization through a wait field on the modules ctx
object....

I have modified mod_zip, and am trying that out; if anyone has been down
this path before, would certainly like to hear about it.
