Использую связку spawn-fcgi + nginx (зачем еще использовать apache?) на двух серверах
На одном ОС - FreeBSD - все отлично! На другом CentOS... еле еле встало (eaccelerator пришлось отключать - он заваливал spawn) и чуть ли не каждый день - 502...
