Background is a real time streaming application which requires the overall buffering per connection to be limited especially in case of low client downstream bandwidth situations. As far as I figured out, it's possible to configure the server socket rcvbuf/sndbuf and the proxy buffers. But there is no option to configure the upstream socket rcvbuf. I can adjust rcvbuf and proxy_buffer to 4k, but the upstream socket will buffer 4M anyway, depending on the default system settings. Related protocols are http and websocket. Related platforms are Ubuntu and Windows.
