Page cache on specific pages
April 22, 2010 07:20AM
We have few production boxes where we run java application on tomcat.

Well here is the setup description.

Request from internet is handled by nginx. Which is proxied to apache and apache load balences using mod_jk to tomcat servers.

Now our application generates pages dynamically based upon the url.
Now we intend to use the page caching feature of nginx which will enhance our initial page loading time frame. As of now nginx is only serving static contents ( if memcached servers doesn't deliver the same).

The problem is we want nginx to to serve only the front page and the rest of the pages should be served by the proxied apache-tomcat.
The existing configuration is attached..

It'll be great that you people can help me out with the same.. All suggestions are welcomed..

Looking forward to hear from you people...

Thanks,
Joji
