Reverse HTTP Proxy!
August 25, 2009 01:59AM
Dear All,

I have a special task which I would like to use Nginx to solve:

I need a http(s) proxy. There are a bunch of web servers sitting behind it. When a user visit the proxy, he needs to key in a username/password to identify himself. With different user, the proxy will direct him to different web server. In addition, the connection between all web servers and proxy are from web servers to the proxy. This means the proxy cannot visit web servers but web servers need to keep connecting to the proxy. Therefore I need: 1. A proxy; 2. A set of API that can be called by the web servers to have communication with the proxy.

Can anyone of you instruct me how to do this? Thank you very much for this.

Best Regards,
Ahamade.
