We are using NGINX/OpenResty on the gateway in such way, where each service has its own location block.
Config file is slowly growing and we are worrying about the limitations (if any). How many location blocks NGINX can handle, is there any limit? So far the config consist of several thousands of location blocks, we don't observe any issues, however we want to understand the boundaries

There is no strict limit on the number of location blocks NGINX can handle, practical limits will depend on your server's hardware and how efficiently your configuration is managed.
