Hi,
I came across an excellent article that explains the configuration of NGinx for optimal performance.
http://blog.martinfjordvald.com/2011/04/optimizing-nginx-for-high-traffic-loads/
Parameters like fastcgi_buffers can be set to prevent disk access.
For an admin to be able to set these params, it is necessary to monitor Nginx and observe the current disk usage, memory usage, etc. Linux commands can report these at a high level. Can we get Nginx to log things like the size of the FCGI response, number of times buffer was dumped to disk, number of concurrent connections, etc.?
Is there any way Nginx performance can be reported in Nagios monitoring app?
Thanks,
Yash
