NGINX + PHP + Windows

I have NGINX working with PHP on Windows Server 2008 and I am really loving it. However, I've found that from time to time the php-cgi.exe process will die (apparently due to reaching 500 requests). I've been googling my brains out and have not found any sort of process manager to automatically spawn a new php-cgi process when one dies. It's looking like my only options are to go back to IIS or Apache (*gag*), or maybe run a virtual Linux box (which I do not know how to do on a server).

I am not having any luck finding a solution to this. Is it really so rare to run PHP on Windows without IIS or Apache?
