Where to put config stuff??
June 02, 2011 04:17PM
Greetings,

I am migrating myself and a few other people's blogs/forums to nginx on the same VPS. Wordpress and phpBB are included in this. Where am I supposed to put the configurations for Wordpress and phpBB? Isn't there like an nginx.conf in each user's home directory I can do this in? Or like how in Apache you could put an .htaccess in any directory that was being executed -- is there anything like that for nginx where I can just plop an nginx.conf or something into user home and make it apply for their account?

Thanks!

Greetings,

I figured it out.

You create a folder 'nginx' inside /home/YourUser/, and inside that you create a folder 'yourdomain.com' (replaced with of course the domain you want the configuration to apply to). Example: it would be /home/JohnDoe/johnsilverware.com/. Inside this folder create a file with any name ending with a .conf extension. Reload nginx (google it) or reboot the server.
