We have been reading a lot of nice comments about speed and performance with Nginx. We owne a small dedicated cPanel server with high hardware resources and poor traffic. What we want is to make server load dynamic sites faster, since we feel very slow serving of Joomla and wordPress websites. We are not experts, and never did something like this, configure gninx or so.
Server is a dedicated Proxmox node with i7 processor, 8GBs DDR3 RAM, an OpenVZ VPS is inside with all resources dedicated to this VPS where cPanel and Nginx is installed. VPS works very fast, this is the unibbench result:

So we installed Nginx cPanel plugin (nginxcp.com) in to our dedicated server without any problem, Thhe point is that benchmark tests show same slow load times, and we don't know what's the problem. take a look at this benchmark performance tests (same after/before installing nginx):

Requests per second: 8.42 [#/sec] (mean)
What's wrong? Can somebody tell us how to improove better performance in is this webserver ?
